To Study and Ponder
The first thing God chooses to tell us about himself is that he is a creator. The Bible begins,
“In the beginning God created...” (Gen 1:1). Right from the start God wanted us to understand that he is a masterful artist, a brilliant innovator, a cutting-edge change-maker. He is not – and never has been – a dull, monotonous, colorless maintainer of the status quo, but an exciting doer of new things, an avant-garde designer of the future, shaping life-giving realities. His great and powerful creativity sustains the universe. “Let every created thing give praise to the LORD, for he issued his command, and they came into being” (Psalm 148:5)Read full meditation by David Joel Hamilton
He is the totally incomparable Creator, always was, always will be, the only God, uncreated, nothing like the ‘gods’ others make and worship

Look up into the heavens. Who created all the stars? He brings them out like an army, one after another, calling each by its name. Because of his great power and incomparable strength, not a single one is missing. ....The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding. He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Is 40:26, 28b-29
What joy for those you choose to bring near....You faithfully answer our prayers with awesome deeds, O God our savior. You are the hope of everyone on earth, even those who sail on distant seas. You formed the mountains by your power and armed yourself with mighty strength. Psalm 65:4a,5-6
God created the earth and all that is on it with great wisdom, every part fitting together
